Germany’s Famous No Speed Limit Road!
Psst – I drove a Benz sports car in 200 KPH (124 MPH) without having a concern that I will get a ticket from polices!
German autobahns are famous for having no universal motorway speed limit, although slightly more than 50% of them have posted speed limits and about 10% are equipped with highway control systems that can show variable speed limits.
There is no national speed limit, either, for cars and motorcycles on any highway outside of towns if it has a central reservation or a minimum of two marked lanes per direction.
While going faster is not illegal as such in the absence of a speed limit, it can cause an increased liability in the case of an accident! The insurance cannot cover your damages.
Thus, you have to pay the full cost!
