When you visit Brussels, you will see plenty of beautiful comic artworks on walls throughout the cities, mostly alleys.
Actually, there’s a story behind these artworks. Back then, people would urine publicly outside on walls and left a nasty scent in the area making it uncomfortable for people to pass by.
Because of Belgians’ love for art, the government decided to paint artworks on the walls where it is most frequent for people to publicly urine at. So, those people wouldn’t urine there anymore and find appropriate place to dispose their waste out of respect for the artwork.
Belgians will never do anything to disrespect artworks.
Pretty cool that government actually found a way to use what Belgians love to encourage them to not do something that violates the law, huh?
