Grandfather, father, and I wanted to do something so risky. We figured the risk challenge we can do is to show up at the Tiger Kingdom and be brave enough to pet tigers in real life!
The Tiger Kingdom is located in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Currently, the Tiger Kingdom has over 100 tigers in captive. There are four options you can take; smallest tigers, small tigers, medium tigers, and big tigers! The choice is yours, yes, the price options are varied.
I kindly want to emphasize the importance of petting tigers is to gently stroke the cats, always pet behind them, do not pet their faces. Yes there were some incidents such as biting someone’s arm because this person chose to not follow the rules they made.
The biggest question is, are any of the tigers here drugged?
Website – “Most visitors came and spend a relatively short time in Tiger Kingdom, more than often they would encounter that these tigers are always sleeping. But cats are cats and they sleep up to 18 hours a day, just like kitty at home. Please do not assume our cats are drugged. To make the most of your visit, our staffs will play with the tigers during the day. And our cats are also trained to sleep and rest at night.”
They stated that they’re not drugged. Please do not accuse them.
Facts:
The tiger population in Thailand has been decreasing every year. It’s estimated that only around 120 tigers still inhabit the wild. The projections are more catastrophic. Specialists argue that it’s just a matter of time before tigers are completely extinguished from the wild. As human population grows, areas in which tigers can live freely diminish. Tiger-human contact becomes inevitable and, as a treat to, for example, pastoral communities, tigers are commonly hunted down and killed.
